Rode the 3rd section (Puffing Billy -> Holsworthy) and back yesterday morning with the missus in tow.
Nice section of cross country and think Holsworthy's going to be a cracking lunch stop.
Make sure you're getting the miles in!

For those of you interested- I am proud to say I will be carrying the Olympic Torch today, at 5.19pm, at Stenalees, Cornwall. This is such a great honour! If you fancy, why not tune into the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchrelay/day1 and watch? (It may be delayed by a few minutes).

Thank you for all your support!

Hi Mike

Your right, it does, although we have had some people sign up directly with us, as they are not on Paypal. Hence, the 5 places (or so) left.

Having driven the route, I would say the first leg out of Looe is the worse for the D route. Indeed, the last bit from Torrington to Barnstaple is lovely and flat; so I would have to say that the day gets easier as it goes on.

Hope this helps!

Hi Jon- the one that says right at the bridge is the correct one; less of a climb, and quieter roads= happier cycling!

Hi Guys,
Just checked out the routes published on Google and the route mapped by Nick (Ricey) on Bikely and they are different!! One route stays on the B3254 at Sandplace station (nr Looe) and the other takes a right at the bridge. Can you confirm which route is correct

Hello coast to coasters ! Has anyone actually driven this route before or someone have any idea how hilly it is ?? My Grandma seems to be worrying that its going to be steep (I'm personally not worried at all ) Thanks . Kyle .
